As part of the original San Diego State Applications Camp Workshop Outcomes, each person attending the workshop was responsible for training another person at their facility upon their return. This person was identified BEFORE attending the workshop.
To enable the training process, all of the materials and information needed to conduct this training are included in the Camp GetchaontheWeb materials. Successful post-workshop training was demonstrated by having the trainee complete the following activities. This page is design to be printed and used as a checklist.
WEB SURFING & SEARCHING SKILLS CHECKLIST
These tasks were part of the Pre-camp Activities and are now part of SURF. Completion of these activities will provide the trainee with basic knowledge of the types of information available on the internet and basic search skills.

WHAT TO DO NEXT?
Our training goals had specific steps that had to be completed and documented by the trainers and trainees. You will need to modify this section using Beyond Filamentality or whatever methods you prefer to suit your training requirements. Here are the ones that we used:
Training will be considered complete when two things occur:
- All of the items have a check-mark and this page is signed by both the trainer and trainee and sent to the Training Coordinator.
- The activities of both the trainer and the trainee have been received by the network manager either on disk, by FTP, by FAX, or as an e-mail attachment
ADDITIONAL MATERIALS
In addition to this checklist, you may want to download the table containing the Learner Objectives, Methods, Materials, and Time needed to complete tasks. The Mac version of this document is called
DupeMatrix and was compressed using the shareware Compact Pro 1.35 by Bill Goodman.
The PC version is matrix.zip and can be unzipped using PKZIP. Matrix.zip was compressed using the shareware ZipIt 1.3.5 for Macintosh computers by Thomas A. Brown.
You can also print the Agenda in the event that you plan to duplicate the workshop for a group.
We wish you the very best in your training endeavors and would be interested in any comments you have for improving this training or how your training was implemented and with what degree of success!
