Grabbing Web Images

You've found the perfect image for your Web activity on another person's Web page. Did you know you can save that image to your hard drive? (It's always a good idea to ask permission first and may be imperative in some cases.) With Netscape, it's easy to do. This lesson will show you how and provide links to some online image libraries.

Save a Web Image
1. Right click on the desired image and hold it until a pop-up menu appears.

2. Select Save this Image As... from the pop-up menu.

3. When prompted, save the file with an appropriate name and location. Make sure you save it into the directory/folder where you want it!

(See Saving Graphics to Folders or Disks: A Web Tutorial from the MidLink Magazine for more instruction).

Online Image Libraries
Though you can grab Web graphics from any page, you'll need permission to use them unless you get them from an online graphics library. Here are a few to get you started.
