    Read about the tea ceremony. How long can the ceremony take?





  2. Styles of dress changed over the centuries. Look at some of the different kimonos in the history of Japan. What colors did a man usually wear? (hint-look at the section for men's kimonos)



  3. How could a woman's kimono indicate if she was single or married? (hint-read about the sleeves)



  4. The oldest form of theatre in Japan is the Noh drama. The performers don't just speak their parts. What else do they do?



  5. Kabuki was a type of theatre that was more popular with the common people. Why? What was different about Kabuki than Noh drama?



  6. A unique Japanese art form developed that is known as ukiyo-e or 'pictures of the floating world'.
