Introduction
Using the Web allows you to discover way more than you may have ever thought possible and is a great complement to the materials found in the library. Below is a list of questions about the topic of this page. Surf the links on this page to find answers to the questions.


Questions
  1. Click on Chem 4 Kids and read the first page. What is matter?
    What is matter made of?



  2. Click on Four States and read the first page.
    Name the 4 stages of matter.



  3. Click on Matter Web Quest and read the page.
    Even though there are four states of matter, we will be focusing on three main ones. Look them up on this page and list those three. Give two examples of each of these states.



  4. Click on Science Clips 1.
    Drag the chocolate bar into the glass (beaker). Click on the red button to heat it up. What can happen when a solid is heated?
    Now click on the blue button to cool it down. What can happen to a liquid when it is cooled down?



  5. Click on Science Clips 2.
    Click on sorter. Drag each item into the correct category.
    Click on activity. Click on the blue button to see what happens when a gas is cooled down. Now click on the red button to heat it up. What happens when a liquid is heated up?
