Introduction
Where the Red Fern Grows is a story about a boy and his dogs, set in the Ozarks. The story tells a lesson about life and loyalty. The author, Wilson Rawls grew up in the Ozark Mountains of Oklahoma and wrote this semi-autobiographical story.
