Introduction
Guess what! You suddenly work for a travel agency, but you work on a commission basis. In other words, you only get paid if you can actually book a reservation. You must create a travel brochure that will attract clients to your office and book a trip with you.

Consider the following information and use the resources on the hotlist as you create your brochure.

Geology is the study of how the planet Earth formed and how it changes. Scientists called geologists study rocks, soils, mountains, volcanoes, rivers, and oceans. Some geologists study fossils. The study of fossils helps scientists learn how life developed on Earth.

Scientists theorize that Earth began as a waterless mass of rock surrounded by a cloud of gas. Radioactive materials in the rock and increasing pressure in Earth's interior produced enough heat to melt the interior of Earth. The heat of the interior caused chemicals inside Earth to rise to the surface. Some of these chemicals formed water, and others became the gases of the atmosphere.

Many scientists believe that life appeared on Earth almost as soon as conditions allowed. For most of Earth's history, life consisted mainly of microscopic, single-celled creatures.

Now it is time for you to create your brochure. As you create your brochure be sure to include the following information:

-Your Geological Time Period

-Plants you might see

-Animals you might see

-What kind of Food and Lodgings (be creative) might be available

-Weather/Climate

-Activities/Special events

-Colorful graphics/Text/Word Art

Be Creative. Remember, your brochure captures the interest of clients who will then want to book their travel plans with you!
