• Janet Wong's Website - Janet has received accolades for her wonderful poetry. At her website, you can hear Janet read some poems from her published books.

• Joyce Carol Thomas - Thomas is a winner of the Coretta Scott King, Teacher's Choice, and National Book Awards. Click on the titles Brown Honey in Broomwheat Tea, Gingerbread Days, and I Have Heard of a Land to read excerpted poems. There is also a Free Help for Teachers section.

• J.Patrick Lewis's Website - J. Patrick Lewis is the author of many wonderful books of poetry for children, including Freedom Like Sunlight: Praisesongs for Black Americans, A World of Wonders: Geographic Travels in Verse and Rhyme, and the very funny A Hippopotamusn't.

• Writing Poetry with Karla Kuskin - Children can proceed through a step-by-step poetry writing process with Karla Kuskin. (Kuskin was the recipient of the prestigious NCTE Award for Excellence in Poetry for Children in 1979.)

• Writing Poetry with Jack Prelutsky - Children can proceed through a step-by-step poetry writing process with the highly popular children's poet.

• Annie's Rhyme Time - Have a little fun with rhyming words and some terse verse. Children and adults alike will enjoy this activity. There are three levels of difficulty: Easy, Medium, Hard.
