Unit 8--Fractions

BrainPOP Jr. - Videos on math topics such as fractions and geometry.
Equivalent Fractions - Change the number of pieces in the shape to make an equivalent fraction. Then, name the fraction.
Flowering Fractions - Completing fractions by looking at denominators for a whole or a half.
Fraction Bars and Cards - A game to practice EQUIVALENT FRACTIONS.
Fraction Flags, 1/2s and 1/4s - Create flags using the colors and fractions given.
Fraction Flags, 1/3s - Create flags using the colors and fractions given.
Kids and Cookies - Choose your number of kids; then choose your number of cookies. Share the cookies equally between the kids. Cut the cookies into fractions when necessary.
Learning Planet . Com - Match EQUIVALENT FRACTIONS to clear the board.
Naming Fractions - A shape is given with shaded parts, you must give the name of the fraction.

Everything You Wanted to Know about Area and Perimeter - Practice measuring the area and perimeter of different shapes.
Funbrain Mearue It--Inches (1/2s, 1/4s and 1/8s) - Practice measuring using 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8 inches.
Funbrain Measure It--Centimeters - Practice measuring using centimeters.
Funbrain Measure It--Inches (1/16s) - Practice measuring using 1/16 inches.
Measure the Teddy Bears - Practice measuring teddy bears in whole and half units.
Measures--Jack the Builder - Help Jack the Builder on Units of Measurement, Reading Mass, Reading Volume and Capacity, and Reading Length games.
Pan Balance - Practive making different items balance on a pan balance.
Plasticine Snakes - Compare and measure the length of snakes to find the units of length.
Shape, Space, and Measures - Measure the length and weight of packages to determine how much postage needs to be attached in order to send it in the mail.
The Ruler Game - Choose to time yourself or not. Pick the fraction of inches you want to work with and begin finding the length of the line on your ruler.

Unit 10--Decimals and Place Value

Change It! - Practice counting coins and typing the amount in dollars and cents notation. Don't forget the decimal point!

Decimal Squares - Comparing decimals in the tenths, hundredths, and thousandths place using base-10 flats.
