General

Online Typing Program - lessons to practice typing skills online. Keeps track of errors, words, and speed.

Lessons

Dance Mat Typing - This site has lessons to tech typing with a fun group!
Keyboarding Practice - Breaks learning keyboarding into lessons, starting with home row and adding letters along the way.
Nimble Fingers - Free online typing test. Some parts of this site are free, others require a subscription.
Touch Typing - This is a program to learn typing Click ‘English Regular Keyboard’ from the left menu It will bring up a new window and on the left is a pull down menu to choose the lesson to start with
Type Online - Practice keyboarding and number pad typing. Also, practice typing full passages. The site tells you accuracy percents and even breaks down your mistakes.

Cup Stacking Typing Game - Stack and unstack the cups.
Free typing games - Games, lessons, and tests to improve your typing.

UpBeat - Play this RockBand style typing game. (Be patient - it takes awhile to load)

Tests

The Ugly Typing Program - Free online program. Specializes in speed drills for punctuation, numbers, and symbols. It will test your skills and clock your speed.
Typing Test - Choose a test text and click begin. It will time you typing for one minute and show you your words per minute (WPM) and accuracy.
Typing test - See how much you can type in 30 seconds.

On Your Own

Learn 2 Type for Kids - Designed for kids. Create a FREE login and it will keep track of your progress. The program will automatically adjust for your improvement.
