Introduction
Unit 2 Project: Clinical and Cultural Psychology

2. Pick a topic you are already interested in and link it to a topic from class activities or Textbook Chapters on Psychological Disorders, Psychological Therapies, Social Thinking and Social Influence or Social Relations.

3. Create a question to research. Your question will require you to do ONE of the following: evaluate a theory or concept or claim OR create a new explanation, system or program OR explain a complex set of behaviors and/or thinking

4. Use the class time provided to gather your research. Record your activity here>>
5. Present your findings to the class using an appropriate format. One person 5min./ two: 10 min.
6. Be ready to take questions from the class about your findings.
7. After all presentations, write (type) an essay about the key findings from each presentation. Time in library will be provided to type this.
8. Hand in with your notes from the presentations.
9. Credit is achieved for working on the project, the rubric used for the presentation, and the essay and your notes.
Presenting your learning: The Format
Whatever method you choose, here’s how you organize/present it to the class:

A. Introduction Tell us what you were looking for, why you are interested in the topic, and what you expected to find
Define all major terms or theories we need to know

B. Major findings Tell us what you found out about your research question; what research studies support your claims? Do you accept these findings? Why or why not?
Be able to cite and identify your resources in this section (websites, books, articles)

C. Summary Tell us your conclusions: Were you able to answer your question? What are your main findings? On what evidence do you base your findings?

D. Sources: You should read widely on your topic. No or source has all the facts. Therefore, you should be able cite at least 7 sources that you used in your presentation; remember to use quotations and footnotes where needed.
